Interested in trainings on youth risk behavior?

NGO Sa Suudad offers practical and thoughtful trainings that help participants better understand young people whose behavior may be challenging, concerning, or risky. Our trainings are designed for everyone — such as teachers, support persons, youth workers, and professionals in social work, justice, and healthcare — who wish to strengthen their knowledge and skills in order to build trust with young people and provide them with more effective support.

We offer trainings on topics such as:

  • young people's developmental and age-specific characteristics
  • causes and expressions of risk behavior
  • how to notice and intervene in a supportive way
  • how to build connection, including when a young person seems withdrawn or oppositional
  • support options for young people experiencing risk behavior
  • network-based cooperation
  • case management
  • conflict resolution in a way that supports and respects all parties involved
  • how to take care of yourself

and much more :)

We use a lot of active learning methods in our training sessions. Theory, including the sharing of experiences and practices by trainers and young experts, is intertwined with open discussions, various group exercises, self-reflection, and, if necessary, energy-boosting games.

Feedback on training courses:

“Listening to the experiences of young people themselves gave the training special value and helped us understand how our work really makes a difference.”

“Practical tools and new knowledge, such as the youth engagement ladder and motivational games, enrich my daily work.”

“The training sparked new ideas and gave me hope that solutions can be found in complex situations.”

“Real-life examples and open discussions gave me the courage and inspiration to continue my work.”

We believe that every young person deserves understanding, support, and the opportunity to grow—even (and especially) when their behavior presents challenges. And we believe that you can understand, listen to, and support young people! Sometimes we need additional skills to do this, which we can gain through training or counseling.

Together, we create an environment where every young person can feel seen and cared for.
