OUR VISION
The vision of the NGO Sa Suudad is to be an organization for young people who exhibit or have exhibited high-risk behavior, focusing on inclusion and advocacy.
OUR MISSION
The mission of the NGO Sa Suudad is to listen to, gather, and present the experiences and advice of young people who behave or have behaved in difficult-to-understand ways (referred to as high-risk behavior). The broader goal of the NGO is to contribute to making the education, social, and legal systems more youth-friendly and effective in working with young people who exhibit risky behavior.
The NGO achieves this goal by listening to, engaging, and supporting young people, while also providing them with new experiences through various inclusion events and opportunities.
We want every child and young person to be meaningfully involved at all times in decisions that affect their lives, including the support of those close to them and other adults around them.
The NGO Sa Suudad believes that every person is an expert in their own life, including children and young people. To express this expertise, it is important to truly listen to what a person needs and to find ways to support them in the manner they require.
Every young person needs a supportive and safe environment to live in, so they can reach their full potential.
OUR VALUES
We act passionately to ensure that young people are supported in the way they need.
We strive to ensure that the voices of young people are heard.
We base our approach on the understanding that every person has their own story and the resulting behavior patterns.
We engage. We believe that every young person should be included and their voice heard. This includes actively involving our partners and target groups in the planning and implementation of our activities.
We collaborate with young people, those around them, and other adults, including partners in Estonia and abroad.
For every activity we plan or undertake, we consider how it contributes to the well-being and coping skills of young people.
We base our activities on Estonian legislation, the principles of social work ethics, the code of ethics for NGOs, and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
What the NGO's activities contribute to:
Equal opportunities
Understanding young people who exhibit risky behavior can be very challenging, and as a result, they may be marginalized by both their peers and adults in the community. By supporting and engaging young people, the NGO contributes to their greater integration into society, creating opportunities to build more positive connections with other members of the community.
Caring community
By giving young people a voice, we empower and enable them to be active and engaged members of the community.
Inclusion
We make young people's voices heard!
Alone we can do little, together we can do a lot. Meet our team!
